I like this even more than I thought I would. At first, it seemed a little bulkier than I thought it would be, but actually, this is what makes it so stable and probably protects the ipad quite a bit too. When I see people with the flimsy Apple case, Im definitely glad I went with this. Plus, it will surely last for way longer than the ipad will. Very good quality, and it actually makes the ipad a lot more usable, since I can carry it around and balance it where ever. So Im glad I got this. And I can plug the ipad in while its still in the case, so I dont even use my dock anymore. It only works horizontally, but thats fine for my purposes. It also arrived VERY fast, and by us postal service without lot of excess packaging and waste, so I like that!

Magnetic interference issue 2010-09-09

Am glad I read the review about the magnet concern, somehow I missed the review before I ordered. But, at least now I know not to use the case. I did test the compass functionality (on Star Walk) with and without the sleeve and it truly does interfere. It is unfortunate, as I like the design of this case. For $7.20, I dont think ill bother returning. Not sure if the magnet can cause damage to the iPad am hoping for the approximate hour it was on mine, it did not.

Microsoft CEO bonus cut for Kin flop, lack of iPad rival

A new Microsoft SEC filing published late Thursday revealed that the company punished its CEO Steve Ballmer for his inability to turn around the company's struggling mobile efforts so far. The proxy statement notes that his total compensation of $1.35 million, including a $670,000 base salary and a matching bonus, was lower than in 2008 due to the "unsuccessful launch of the Kin" and "a loss of market share" for Windows Mobile. The Compensation Committee singled out the absence of a real Windows tablet rival through a need to "take advantage of new form factors."
